Background and Journey
Rebel Holiday focuses her work on people and their lives. In areas of communications, design, personal development, and consulting, it's always been about the people, individually, leaders, and teams. The common denominator in projects is the emergent, creative process, the unfolding that occurs with commitment and focus. In any arena she loves seeing ideas become reality and seeing lives change as people discover their potential.
Developing A System for Personal Design
Driven by questions around aesthetics and beauty in her twenties, Rebel entered a period of extensive research followed by intense training. This led to extensive travel across the United States for nearly 8 months studying human faces and design. She ultimately identified 96 patterns ("Human Visual Design") in the physical characteristics of men and women of all races. She developed an information system that formed the basis for her work in Personal Congruence, Visual Excellence, which are all about Living Harmony.
She founded her first company in La Jolla, California. Her Excellence Centers operated on both Coasts of the U.S., providing Life Design programs and personal executive coaching to over 6,000 individuals between 1982 and 1996. During those years, programs in professional excellence, image, and communication were delivered in over 200 corporations.
Rebel's later research confirmed her intuition that there was a direct correlation between an individual's "Human Visual Design" and their natural Essence. She wrote eight books on applying her system to personal design and expression and produced a television program. Clients frequently reported life-changing results as the outcome of her work with them on Harmony.
Teaching Personal Development
Early in her personal journey of self-discovery she experienced an epiphany. Rebel realized that she was called to use her talents to help change the lives of others. Interested in transformation, she studied non-verbal communications, NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming), Ericksonian Hypnosis, and other methods for effective personal change. This has proven very helpful and effective for leaders, entrepreneurs, and teams that she has coached.
Since 1979, Rebel Holiday has been a teacher and a student of approaches related to human consciousness and transforming people's lives. In 1985 she received the Maharishi Award for "Contributing to the Development of Consciousness," given by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. During the 1990's her work was recognized by other human potential leaders and teachers.
Between 1982 and 1998, she further developed the innovative information system based on "Human Visual Design" that was the foundation of her work during those years. Her books describe how her design system could be applied to fashion and personal expression. She applied this fashion information system to her line of Rebel Holiday fashion in New York in 1993 and 1994. This information system is a powerful tool for consultants and fashion companies and is being redeveloped with technology. Since 1998, she has continued to study, develop, and refine this system.

From 2008 - 2016 she has been learning how technology and the Internet can be used to create scalable, interactive e-learning in the high-touch areas related to personal growth. This is exciting because worldwide, many programs can be made available that would not otherwise be accessible.

Between 1998 and 2006, she assisted entrepreneurial companies in clarifying their vision, mission, and core messages for their launch. The portfolio companies were from many industries: technology, alternative energy, bio-med, health, inventions, software, Internet and consumer-related firms, located primarily in the Washington D.C. Metro area. On parallel track, she was taught communications in Northern Virginia and worked on an information technology start-up. She has consulted with dozens of entrepreneurial leaders and teams in getting their message aligned.
Her first career was selling investment and residential real estate in the California Bay Area from 1979 through 1981. In 1981 she received a MAME (Major Achievement in Merchandising Excellence) for Sales Rookie of the Year, a top sales award for Northern California. She worked on several land transactions that became residential communities and commercial developments in Silicon Valley.
